12 Week Animal Husbandry Show Program

$450.00

Classes start the week of August 6th

12-Week Farm School: Level 2 – Animal Focus Program

Tuition: $450 for 12 weeks

Farm School: Level 2 is designed for returning students or beginners ready to go deeper into the world of farm animals. Over the course of 12 weeks, students will choose one animal to focus on and build a relationship through hands-on care, handling, grooming, and learning basic animal husbandry and showmanship skills.
Classes are held on Fridays or Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Students choose one day to attend weekly. Parents are required to remain on-site but will not participate directly in the lessons.

Program Structure:

Each session is structured to guide students through meaningful progress with their chosen animal while keeping learning fun and interactive:

15-Minute Game or Icebreaker
A quick activity to build confidence and introduce the weekly focus. Designed to promote teamwork and connect students through laughter and play.

30-Minute Skill Lesson
Focused instruction covering new animal care concepts like grooming, handling, training, health, anatomy, and showing techniques.

30-Minute Animal Lab
Students will work hands-on with their chosen animal—feeding, leading, cleaning, grooming, observing behavior, or practicing showmanship skills.

15-Minute Wrap-Up & Reflection
End-of-class group circle to share what was learned, ask questions, and prepare for the next week’s session.

🐐 Program Highlights:

Choose Your Animal:
Each student will select an animal to focus on for the full 12 weeks (options may include chickens, rabbits, goat, or pig depending on availability).

Personalized Learning:
By working with the same animal each week, students will develop confidence, learn the animal’s unique personality, and gain deeper understanding of species-specific care.

Real Farm Skills:
Students will explore daily care routines, grooming, safe handling, health checks, and basic training techniques.

Showmanship Practice:
Throughout the program, students will also prepare their animal for a friendly farm “show” during the final week, where they will demonstrate what they’ve learned.

Parent Involvement:
Parents are welcome to observe and support their child’s experience.

🏁 End-of-Program Showcase:

During the final week, students will present their animal in a simple farm-style show to demonstrate handling, grooming, and care. Family members will be invited to attend and celebrate their hard work and progress.

Farm School: Level 2 is a great next step for young learners who are curious, compassionate, and ready to take responsibility for an animal of their own—while having tons of fun along the way!
