12 Week Animal Husbandry Program - Level 1
12-Week Animal Husbandry: Level 1 – Student Program
Classes start the week of August 6th
Tuition: $450 for 12 weeks
Farm School: Level 1 offers young learners a hands-on introduction to farm life! Over the course of 12 weeks, students will explore the basics of farm animals and agricultural practices in a fun and interactive environment. With classes held on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, students will choose one day to attend each week.
Program Structure:
Each session is designed to keep students engaged and excited about learning through a balanced mix of activities:
15-Minute Game: A quick and fun icebreaker activity to introduce the day's topic. Games are designed to encourage teamwork and learning through play.
30-Minute Lesson: A focused lesson where students will learn essential information about farm animals, from basic care to understanding their behavior and needs.
30-Minute Lab: The hands-on portion of the class! Students will apply what they’ve learned in the lesson, working directly with farm animals and participating in farm tasks like feeding, grooming, and basic animal care.
15-Minute Wrap-Up: A short discussion or craft to review the day’s lesson, share what everyone learned, and prepare for the next week’s class.
Program Highlights:
Hands-On Learning: Students will spend a lot of time in the barn, pasture, or other areas on the farm, interacting directly with animals. They will get to practice what they've learned in the lesson through activities like animal feeding, grooming, and observing animal behaviors.
Interactive and Fun: With games, labs, and engaging lessons, each class is designed to be exciting and educational for young learners.
Designed for Beginners: This is a beginner-level program that focuses on the basics of farm animals and farming. No prior experience is necessary—just a curiosity and love for animals!
Parent Participation: Parents are required to stay with their children, this is not a drop-off program
By the end of the program, students will have a solid understanding of basic farm operations and animal care, along with practical, hands-on experience in a real farm setting.
If you’re ready to explore farm life and dive into a world of animals, teamwork, and fun, Farm School: Level 1 is the perfect place to start
